The goal of the Roundtable is to advance the recommendations contained within the Courage to Change report (2006), which calls upon Vermont to adopt the goal that investment in the state’s human capital is its primary economic development strategy. In particular, Vermont needs an effective and adaptable preK-20 education system to maximize opportunities for each and every Vermont citizen. The transition from today’s learning environment to the environment of the future will take time to accomplish, and the process must begin now.
